HISTORY
In 1989, Dr. Edwin Vyhmeister opened his practice in North Seattle, as Northwest Hand Specialists with the second hand surgeon in WA. He was an early pioneer in hand surgery in the area. The population of the Seattle area was 570,657. Dr. Vyhmeister has a reputation among health care leaders as one of the very best hand surgeons in the state. He has a strong, innovative and entrepreneurial spirit that ensures the practice stays on the cutting edge. The physicians who have joined the practice range from highly tenured experts in their fields to younger, knowledgeable physicians who bring new skills and techniques into the organization. Locations in Silver Lake/Everett, Shoreline and Woodinville allow patients to stay closer to home or workplace to minimize travel and wait times.
Dr. Vyhmeister set up the MEND Orthopedics in October 2007 – as a prompt injury care practice, available five days per week.
